Board Meeting 3-29-8 8:30am

Item#1:  Field Cleanup

Tom L. brought up that at the field day cleanup we need to focus on the North Bank.  Kevin Bullard mentioned it was okay to cut down brush and leave it in place to decompose.  It was brought up we need to re-zip tie the plastic snow fence to the aluminum rails at the flight line.  Thad B. said he would donate scraps of fence if the club needed more fencing.  We also need to do mole and weed and feed treatment.  Jim Bowers said that it would cost around $200 to do 180,000 Sf of the field with the cheaper mole treatment.  It was voted unanimously to do this treatment in may, Jim to be in charge of arranging it.  It was voted unanimously by the board that we would use the weed & feed on the same 180,000 sf of the field at the cleanup day.  This would cost $360 and Jim would arrange it.

Tom wanted to let club members know that they should bring their own clippers, and gloves.

It was suggested to talk to Kevin Bullard about maybe spots in the lane he thought needed repaired.  Jim checked into the porta-john it looked to be to expensive at $80/ month.  Stan T. was in the process of getting the new field sign made up for the entrance.  We determined we would put it on our side of the road above Kevin’s fence.  Stan thought it would run $150-$200 and would be ready around April 10th.

The club flier is done and Harvey has put them out in Pete Russels shop and intended to get them to the other four locations next week.  Harry R. suggested bolding the map and getting a copy to him asap as he has had requests for directions.

On the club mowing Denny is going to post it on the website 6 weeks ahead of time.  Harry R. is going to wait until the end of April to update and cleanup the current roster before posting it to everyone.

            2. Junkyard build again this winter.

            3. Mojo Build meet one more time to go over servo setup.

            4. Combat day or event.

Item#3:  Benevolance Fund:  Tom L. brought up the idea of having a club benevolence fund that club members could donate to help fellow club members with their dues.  The board thought it a good idea, but didn’t want show any discrimination between members.  It was tabled for now.

Item#4: Website:  It was mentioned that Nathan Soward was currently updating site and didn’t mind as long as he didn’t have to do any major work.  It was suggested to try and keep him doing it for the next year and try and find a permanent replacement.
